As a dental patient, I have certain expectations of dental offices, and Eric Chu failed them all. I'm extremely disappointed. He couldn't even get the basics right. I expect to be treated like a number, and to sit in the waiting room for ages for the doctor to be ready. I expect to be confused by his explanations, and given the run around whenever I try to get some concrete answers. I expect overly aggressive treatment plans that will cost me a fortune. Can you believe the nerve of this office? Friendly staff, no wait time, straightforward explanations with completely reasonable prices and treatment plans?? But that's nothing compared to his epic failure: the procedure itself. I expect the procedures to be horrifying, stressful, and painful. The procedure was practically pleasant! But no, it gets worse. I felt NO PAIN during or after the procedure. Three extractions and a bone graft, and yet the guy is so incompetent that he didn't even know how to send me home in agony. Not even a little discomfort. I mean, who does that? How is that even possible? He obviously did something wrong. To his credit, there was a little bit of pain and swelling the next day, but that's just not good enough! I also demand to be left alone to suffer in silence after a surgery. I mean, it's important to learn independence and autonomy. What are they thinking, calling me, not only once, but twice the next day to check on me, make sure I'm doing okay, and answer any questions I have? That's just rude. I hope he has plenty of malpractice insurance, because this guy is going down. No dental office should ever be allowed to get away with such incompetence.
